announcing: the bees

ratty tatters of winter, yet
spring rattles on in, in the colors
you would expect, while bees
bedazzle the blossoms with
pollen, taking precise sips
of nectar one more time again.
we thought perhaps
they
were gone, and maybe for
good.
so: please don’t mow
and primp - just
let the blossoms
fall where they will. and cheer
the bees, and stow the Round Up.

rock pit

scrabble rocks above -
root to rot to root
to rot

life: the good wet dirty stuff
